MANAGER HACHMEISTERS VIEW. Concerning his eastern trip. Manager John Hacb-nieister of the Laionia track is quoted as saying: "I am going to New York shortly to confer witii Col. Matt 1. Winn and others interested in Kentucky tracks and it probably wiil then be settled as to what dates Louisville and Latonia will ask of the Kentucky State lis etna. Commission. I am not in favor of meetings ot too long duration, but at that the horsemen should have plenty of opportunity to win some money with their horses the coming fall, and I believe Ldaisvillc and I.atonia both will race for as long a period aa the eoaunlsslan will sanction. As for Latonia. we will stand whatever the govern ing board of racing in Kentucky thinks best tor the •sport."
