Hie North American Steeplechase has usually boon contested by the crack jumpers of each year of its running. Its tirst winner. St. Judo, was one of the best voting jumpers that over cropped up in our racing, but his career was short because of his going wrong in his lorelegs. The race is not of long cxisttnoe. but such excellent cross-count ry horses as St. Jude, Fox-I.. inter. Caller. Jimmy Lane, Coligny. Altar, Hylas. Commodore Fontaine, St. Volma. Bayonet, Waterway.
