GOES TO COAST NOVEMBER 1. Lexington. Ky.. September 10. — E. C. Hopper will leave Kentucky for San Franeiseo November 1 to take up his duties as presiding judge at the Oakland track. He came over from Honstonville Thursday in company with T. L. Carpenter ami saw the yearlings that S. K. Hughes is breaking for them work for the first time. Mr. Hoppers filly hy Royai Flush III. — Ragle ts dam of Calash worked a quarter in 24$. and Mr. Carpenters coll bv Ornus — Raddina worked the same distance in 25. Mr. Hopper says he never saw better conditions for I racing in Kentucky than are presented this fall. , and he has been ne. ted with, the s|M rt for more than a quarter of a century.
