HALF-MILE TRACK TO BE ENLARGED. Montreal. Que.. September 20. — President Lauren dean of the King F.dward Joekey Club announced at the conclusion of toe inaogaral meeting at King Edward Iark today lhat the half-mile track, only recently oomph-tod. would immediately lie transformed into a coarse of a mile and an eighth in circumference on ulans similar to those of too Montreal Jockey clubs Blue Bonnets track, with all the la test improvements. The new track will be ninety feet wide, with a three-quarters of a mile straightaway chute. There will lie little, it any. alterations necessary on the uraudstnud. President Lanrendenn is negotiating with both the Montreal Street Railway and the Quebec and Southern Counties Railway for a twenty live minute service to the track from Montreal. There will be a drawbridge built across from the Villa of BoucberviUe to the island of isle Ores Bets to carry both the steam and electric lines. It is the Intention of President Lanrendeaa to have the new track in condition io race over after the lose of the next spring meeting of the Montreal Jockey Club.
