PLANS FOR MINERAL SPRINGS MEETING Preparations are in progress at the Porter Inil track for the fifteenday meeting which the Mineral Springs Jockey Club has announced to lcgin on June 28 New cement walks are being laid tin fencing is being improved and additional stables are being constructed constructedIt It is probable that J S Wallace who served as racing secretary during the illfated meeting of last fall will fill the same iwsition for the coming meet ing The plans of the management contemplate tho distribution of 1800 for six races each day during the first livo days of the meeting It is announced that the money to pay these purses will be placed in the hands of the racing secretary eacli day be ¬ fore the racing begins and that If the patronage warrants it the purses for the remainder of the meeting will l e increased The association pro ¬ poses to pay the shipping expenses of horses that may be sent from Kentucky to take part in the meeting meetingThe The New York system of speculation will be em ¬ ployed for what betting may take place
