URGES DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO ACT ACTAlbany Albany N Y July 2 Governor Sulzer has mado public a letter received from District Attorney Wy song of Nassau County In which the latter told of tho conference he had ivlth Canon Chase and Samuel Marcus of the Society for the Prevention of Crime and presented some evidence which they offered and which Is now being analyzed and said that he would advise the governor as soon as some action on the matter Is taken takenThe The governor through his legal counsel Valentine Taylor sent the following letter to District Attor riey WysongDear Wysong Dear Sir Governor Sulzor directs me to adviso you that he has given consideration to your sug ¬ gestion that the present law relating to gambling be amended and has concluded that the law in its present form Is sufficient if properly enforced to prevent JurisdictionI gambling within your Jurisdiction I am further directed to request that you fur ¬ nish this department with a copy of any and all testimony you may secure which may be sub ¬ mitted to you liy Itev Willian S Chase of Brook ¬ lyn or by any other person concerning this subject matter matterThe The governor exriects you to take the necewwry act ion to rigidly and promptly enforce all provisions of the existing law to the end that gambling be pro ¬ hibited within your county and violators be speedily punished
