NOTES OF THE TURF. G. M. Ilendtie lias sent word to Manager John Hachmeister of the Estonia track that be will be on hand for the Latonia opening on Monday. The Montreal Jockey Club has passed a resolution of condolence and forwarded a copy to Mrs. Joseph J. Burke over her recent bereavement through the death of her esteemed husband. Fred Auerbach, who will be prominent in the management of the coming winter meeting at Charleston, will mingle with the horsemen at Latonia next week in the interest of the South Carolina track. Trainer Jack Adkius of the R. J. Mackenzie stable, will send only Superl and Superiority to Latonia to race. John Lowe will take charge of them. The rest of the Mackenzie string will go to Lexington to be turned out while trainer Adkins will come to Chicago to consult a specialist concerning his eyes, which have been troubling him of late.
