CASTLETONS DEBUT AS A JUMPER. One of the fastest horses in training under Jockey Club rules last year was Castleton, which had bis initial outing over hurdles in the Curfew Maiden Race at Windsor yesterday. The son of Peter Pan was reported to have taken well to jumping, now being a stable companion of Wrack and other useful performers located at Weyhill. Odds had to be conceded about tlie five-year-old. which fought for his head during the first mile, though Duller succeeded in keeping him from ltolting. Several of the hurdles were chanced owiug to Castletons Iiupetuousness, but he eventually won in a canter, and it was an exceedingly promising first appearance. London Sportsman of February 25.
