HORSES ARRIVING AT HAWTHORNE. A carload of horses arrived yesterday at the Hawthorne race track from Sedalia. Mo., to parti-cinate in the two-days meeting which will take place there on Friday and Saturday of this week. In the shipment were Jungle, Lucky Prize, Minnie Reynolds, Frank Flesher, Puck and Tip Daw-dell. These horses raced last week at a fair meeting at Sedalia. The stables of N. B. Davis and Ike Striker, together with a few horses miscellaneously owned, will arrive here in a day or two from Toronto. Horses already at the track include among others Loretta Dwyer. Stick Pin. Duchess DalTy and Alberta Boy. which will be brought together in the Chicago Day Handicap, one mile and an eighth. Five races will be run each day. There will be . one purse of S300 daily, and the others will he 00. Thomas Carey, owner of the track, is guaranteeing the purses.
