RACING CLOSES AT HAWTHORNE. The final day of the brief meeting at Hawthorne found an extremely small number in attendance and the proceeds for the horsemen, who agreed to race for 75 per cent, of the gate receipts, were so insignificant as to be practically a negligible quantity. Most of the .tables engaged will move on without delay to other racing points.
