DAISY PLATT raced close up behind the leaders to the homestretch, then finished fast and. outstaying OAKLAND in the- final drive, won going away. OAKLAND showed the most early speed and made the pace fast, but tired near the end. T. M. GREEN raced forwardly and had no mishaps. JUSTICE GOE-BEL ran a good half and raced into the lead on the last turn, but gave way in the final drive. CASH ON DELIVERY was never prominent. SALON closed a big gap. NEW HAVEN ran well. GOLDCREST GIRL raced forwardly from the start and, being bard ridden near the end. drew out decisively in the last seventy yards. BENS BROTHER raced into a good lead on the last turn, but was tiring fast through the last eighth. BILLY JOE ran a good race and finished with a rush. BURWOOD made up ground and was xoing fast at the end. TORY MAID showed much speed in making up ground. SPRUDEL hud the worst of the start and closed a big gap.
