LARLY LIGHT was closer up than usual in the early running and, coming through the stretch with a rush, was going away at the end. MORDECAI, running in improved form, was a forward contender all the way. but tired after racing into the lead in the homestretch. BEN QUINCE was hard ridden through the last quarter. BEAUMONT BELLE was on the outside all the way and finished fast. FLATBUSH set a good ace to the stretch and tired. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. AKIN made the running, but was much used in racing closely with FAIR HELEN at a fast pace for the first half and his weight told on him at the end. FAIR HELEN was off forwardly and a came contender for the entire way. MALLARD closed a big gnp. BRIAN BORU ran a dull race. GAINSBOROUGH showed speed, but quit. DANGEROUS MARCH moved up rapidlv while rounding the far turn and, easily passing DR. DUENNER in the stretch, was under restraint at the end. DR. DUENNER set a good early pace and saved ground on all turns, but tired when the winner challenged. NOBLE GRAND was a forward contender all the way and finished gamely. ELWAH, showing sudden improvement, raced in closest pursuit behind the leader until rounding t!ie last turn, where she rushed to the front and drew away into a long lead, hut was tiring at the end. POLLY H. was outpaced in the early running, but closed a big gap and finished witii a rush. AMALFI met with much interference and, being sharply cut off on the far turn, was then taken to the outside and finished fast, but too late. G. M. MILLER ran a good race, but tired under his weight. LITTLE NEARER ran well. WATER LADY quit after setting the pace to the stretch. The winner was entered for 00: no hid. Scratched lS0245Montresor, 103. SHARPSHOOTER went through into the lead with a rush soon after the start and drew far away wlille rounding the far turn, then gamely withstood HESTER PRYNNES challenge in the stretch. The. latter was cut off at the three-eighths post and came through on. the inside when entering the homestretch, but could not get up. SPRING BOARD raced well and gamely and was on the outside of the leaders all ll-e way. ISIDORA made a wide turn into the homestretch and ran a dull race. The others were outpaced. MUD SILL, after being saved in the early running, moved up steadily while rounding the last turn and easily disposed of UNCLE BEN. then gamely withstood a challenge from GOLDY. The latter came through on the inside on the stretch turn and was in close quarters at the end. UNCLE BEN showed much the most speed to the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. PATON finished with a rush. The winner, entered for hB100, was bid up to ,000 and sold to A. L. Aste.
