A 2,000 TO 1 CHANCE THAT CAME THROUGH. An English starting-price bookmaker. Fred Goll of Liverpool, has for a number of years offered, the odds of 2.000 to 1 S500 to a shilling against anyone naming the whole of the winners on a days program. These odds were landed by a Chester punter recently at Nottingham, the lucky backer being assisted by the walkover of Itnynl Weaver in me of the six races. It is interesting to note that when the fortunate sportsman received the money te promptly handed Mr. Goll some of his winnings to lie placed to the credit of the Priuee of Wales Fund. The last occasion when the same bookmaker was called upon to settle was at the Hull meeting some years ago. when owing to the program lieiug open he offered ,000 to a shilling 4,000 to 1 and hud to settle
