MUD RUNNERS TO THE FORE AT TIJUANA. Horses with Liking for Soft Going Win Easily — Canadian Claiming Rule to Stand. Tijuana. Mex.. January 10. — Dolina showed a liking for tin- going to win the feature race here today. The Sir Hiion filly led all the way and was going along easily at the finish. Harwood came fast at the end and beat the other contender, in the race. Brown Favorite and 1atsy Mack for second money, the latter finishing third. Quartermaster ran like a stake horse in the mud and was much the bes.t of the band opposed to him :.i the third. Orimar Lad set the pace gamely, but the effort told on him and gave way when challenged by Quartermaster, which took the lead in the stret-h and won pulling up. Laughing Water, with E. Bool up, accounted for the second race, while Zinkand took the first. The horsemen have declared themselves in favor of the present Canadian Claiming Bale. In a vote taken yesterday the horsemen voted 12.i to 00 for the rule now in vogue. Ir.-sident Coffroth sub-raitted t!ie ballot which had two claiming rulings. The other called for sealed bids on the winner, the run-up money to be cut fifty, thirty, twenty, U the second, third and fourth horses. Bronx Stable claimed Orimar Lad. S. I.oDuke claimed Quick. Win. Walker claimed Dolina.. G. Byrne has been restored to good standing.
