CANADIAN RACING ASSOCIATIONS MEETING. A meeting of the Canadian Racing Associations will be held in Toronto. Friday. May 11, when the racing officials for the forthcoming season will be appointed. It is generally understood that Francis Nelson of Toronto will become presiding steward in place of Joseph A. Murphy, who officiated last year. A. It. Dade will again be the starter and Joseph Mclennan clerk of the scales. A new patrol badge will have to lie appointed, owing to the fact that last years official, George Cornell, has joined the ranks of the trainers, having charge of the string owned by George W. Beardmore. For this position there are a number of applicants, but the probability is that Franklin Elmore, a well-known uewbpaper wan, will get the appointment.
