TRAINER EDWARD WHALEN AT WINDSOR. Edward Whalen. the well-known trainer, who has in his care the string of thoroughbreds owned by Dr. Robert Hanley, is now at the Windsor track getting his charges in condition for the opening of the Canadian racing season. Trainer Whalen returned last week from Havana, where he spent the winter. He enjoyed a successful season at Havana and reports the horses in his care to be. in the best of health. Mr. Whalen, like the majority of trainers, has little to say regarding the possibilities of some of his horses to race on the Canadian circuit, but the fact that lie claims them all to be in excellent condition is enough to assure that he expects to put over some good winners this season. Among the homes in trainer Whalens string are Paulson, Haiuerkop, Euterpe, Otero and Harold.
