DUKE OF WESTMINSTERS SALE CANCELLED. Recently the famous English auction and sales firm of Messrs. Taitersall. advertised in Daily Racing Form the sale of the entire stud of Mr. J. Musker, the most extensive breeder in England, as well as the fine band of select broodmares owned by the Duke of Westminster. It was indicative of the loss of hope felt in English turf and breeding circles that followed the order prohibiting anymore racing this year, subsequent to the Newmarket First Spring meeting. Undoubtedly many others would have sacrificed their bloodstock for any price obtainable had that order stood. Happily the government rescinded it and. that owners have taken a new grip on their courage, is shown by the the following cablegram received yesterday: Loudon, May 22. Daily Racing Form. 441 Plymouth Court, Chicago. "Insert paragraph Duke of Westminsters sale cancelled. Tattersall."
