READY FOR OPENING AT D0RVAL. Montreal. Quo.. May 2d.-The work on the im- provoments at Dorval race track is almost completed. The stables are in readiness for the arrival of the early comers to the course, for the spring meeting from Tuesday. May 29 to Tuesday. June 5. There are now nearly fifty horses at the course and they are being given regular work each morning to keep them on edge for the meeting. Word was received from Joseph McLennan at Toronto, that he had forwarded applications for stabling from the majority of the Canadian owners now racing at Woodbine Park. The management is making every effort to arrange for a horse eat to be run between the Dorval and I.lue I.onnets tracks during the meeting, and if it is secured the management will be enabled to look after a greater number of horses. There will be more horses at Dorval for this meeting than a year ago.
