0XNARD YEARLINGS BIUNG GOOD PRICES. Twenty-seven Young- Thoroughbreds Sold at Auction Realize an Average of 40. New York. June 13. .n imported bay colt by Catmint Ariette, daughter of Boberi Le Diable, brought the top price at the sale of the Henry T. Oxnard crop of Blue Ridge thoroughbred yearlings sold at Durtands Biding Academy Monday sight. Mis youngster was imported wtih his dam by Mr. Oxnard hist year. c. II. Thierot, a ntwroaaer to raeiag, waa the purchaser of the star of the Bake, and ahm boaghf others of the band or twenty-aeven which wont under tin- luimnier. Andrew Miller, steward of the Jockey Club, paid the second highest price of the aale when ho bought a chestnut filly l.y King James Gat lea Belle. The next hile-st price waa paid for a filly by Superman -Lux Caata, by Mr. Thierot. The s.ile of twenty-seven yearilagB, thirteen of them being colts and fourteen fillies, brought a total of siji.cr.ii. or .mi average of !j;s|i. This was considered a good s.ile. and breeders from Keaturkj BBd elsewhere expressed tluinselM-s as satisfied with tin- outlook for future sales of yearlings. Hal Price lleadley of Lexiagtea waa on hand to attend the sale BBd, awaiting results, expressed himself as highly gratified. The sale was attended by all the bailing owners and breeders. II. K.
