PREPARE FOR TH0RNCLIFFE PARK MEETING. Toronto, Ont., July 4. The Thorncliffe Park Racing and Breeding Association of Toronto has over 300 men at work putting the finishing touches to its beautiful race course in preparation for the summer meeting to be. held July 21 to July 28, inclusive. The ThornliiTe Park track is located about two and one-half miles from this city. It is one of the most beautiful courses in Canada and was formerly owned by the late Robert Davies. The Thorncliffe Park Racing Association is offering ,900 in daily purses, one race of ,000 value, three of 00 each and three of 1917.sh00 each being carded for each days, racing. From all indications the meeting should be successful in every respect. Herman Conkling lias been engaged as presiding judge. Other officials for the meeting are the well-known starter, James Milton; Martin Nathanson, as racing secretary and associate judge, and John S. Berger, general manager. The improved Bowie mutuel wagering system is now being installed. One of the features inaugurated by the Thorncliffe Association is that of the jockeys names being printed on the daily program. Another new feature will be that of the horsemens having representation in the judges stand.
