BERLIN, close up from the start, came around the leaders at the head of the stretch and passed PRISCILLA MULLENS, but was doing his best at the end to outstay AVAUKEAG. The latter dropped back In the early running, came through 011 the inside and finished with a tainted rush. COBRITA was away badly, but closed a big gap and finished close up. RED SALMON set the pace to the stretch and tired. LITTLE SWEEPER tired. SAINTS BRIDGE, a slow beginner, also closed a big gap.
