DISTURBED OVER SHORTAGE OF CARS Saratoga, N. Y., August 27. Horsemen are much disturbed on account of shortage of cars to ship their horses away. They are getting little satisfaction from the express companies, with nearly 1,500 horses to be moved. Fortunately their is considerable time between the openings of the Kentucky and Maryland tracks, but those going to Belmont are anxious to get away. Omar Khayyam worked a mile and a half this morning in 2:38 in preparation for the Saratoga W Cup race on Thursday. It was considered an ex- ceptionally good work-out.
