GOVERNMENT USING FAIR GROUNDS GROUNDSSt St Louis Mo August i A report having been circulated that the government had commandeered the Fair Grounds at New Orleans for military pur ¬ poses Joseph A Murphy manager of the racing department of the New Orleans Business Mens Kac ¬ ing Association wired asking what had been done He received the following answer from I B Keiiny son supervisor supervisorIn In line with spirit of doing our bit to win the war our association has given use of Fair Grounds to United States government and Tulane University for training school for drafted men in auto me ¬ chanics and wireless telegraphy from May 15 to October 15 when camp will be moved to Tulane Campus Plans are being drawn for building new cantonment Positively no interference with winter raciujj
