ROSY OUTLOOK FOR WHEELING W VA WHEELING W Va April 11 The Wheeling Driving Park is situated on an island between the hills of West Virginia and Ohio and is a pleasing racing plant in cveiy way The track prcper is seventyfive feet all around plenty of room to start ten horses or more at any of the starting points One can walk from the city to the track in fifteen minutes Trolley cars run direct to the track There is accommodations for the 300 horses and the grandstand will seat 3000 peoHc The meeting is backed by the business men and all the best people in the valley are behind the meeting The track is fast Horses are working threequarters in 115 easily and fiveeighths in 104 104There There will be twelve mntiiel machines in opera ¬ tion and it seems from the interest taken in it the meeting will be a big success There are 100 horses on the grounds today and the management expects ai 0 horses by Saturday evening The following are the officials of the meeting meetingF F W Gerhardy presiding judge Jos M Mc Graw associate judge Elmer Wilson starter Herbert J Kcehl clerk of the scales Tom Lynch paddock judge Bert H Swartz racing secretary and W It Booker clerk of the course
