ALL READY AT LEXINGTON Seven Splendidly Filled Races on the Card of the Day A Number of Kentucky Derby DerbyCandidates Candidates to Show Their TheirForm Form as ThreeYcarOlds LEXINGTON Ky April 22 The Kentucky Jockey Clubs spring race meeting will be inaugu ¬ rated tomorrow afternoon witli a card numerically and perhaps otherwise stronger than ever was known in the long history of the Kentucky associa ¬ tion which preceded the present organization in the ownership and operation of the historic track at Lexingtons eastern environs There are one hundred and four horses eligible to the seven races and among them are five candidates for the Ken ¬ tucky Derbjv Pluribiis whose owner Thomas W OBrien was an arrival last night from the East and Bon Ilomme one of the SimmsOliver team are in the first race This is a sprint at three quarters and is the William S Barnes Memorial Trophy In addition to the 1200 added it has a trophy donated by Mrs William S Barnes in mem ¬ ory of her late husband who was the proprietor of the Melbourne Stud and in his day va great dev ¬ otee of racing racingBit Bit of White from the string of Edward Riley Bradley master of Idle Hour Farm is to make her debut as a threeyearold in the fourth race In tlic Ben All Handicap which features the card and which is having its fifth running Pluribiis also is named together with the Texan marvel Centimeter for which G L Blackford his breeder and owner refused 25000 and Behave Yourself one of the fittest of tho Idle Hour Farm products according to the observations of work watchers watchersPrevious Previous winners of the Ben AH Handicap were Col Vennie Opportunity Exterminator and Gen ¬ eral Haig The throcyearold filly race also claims among its eligibles Senator J N Camdcns Bettina a candidate for the Latonia Derby Lady Madcap Miss Muffins and Apliie Dear But the most in ¬ teresting feature of the race is that it affords another meeting between Bit of White and Miss Muffins and should effectually settle the con ¬ troversy which arose last spring over the merits of these fillies though it must be admitted that the 1920 season closed with the balance much in favor of the daughter of Sunstar SunstarThere There are two races on the card for twoyear olds the second for fillies and the sixth for colts geldings and fillies filliesThe The weather today is quite windy and there were light showers but the track was unaffected con ¬ tinuing in a favorable condition Tlic forecast is for clearing and cooler weather tomorrow Superintendent tomorrowSuperintendent John M Kcegan lias the plant looking spick and span and the additional automo ¬ bile parking space provided this spring gives the grounds a decidedly more spacious appearance Visitors appearanceVisitors from a distance are numerous and the indications today are that the old course is to have its record opening providing the weather con ¬ ditions arc propitious propitiousThe The number of horses here approximate eight hun ¬ dred of which fully five hundred are ready for racing All of the officials have reported and arc ready for duty dutyThomas Thomas W OBrien has wagered extensively at odds of 40 to 50 to 1 and less that IMuribus will win the Kentucky Derby He lias made one wager of 1000 that he will beat Leonardo II OBrien spent a portion of today at Walter S Paynes farm where his stallion Pluvious and several mares are kept yearlingsRush and where he lias several yearlings Rush McCoy today reported the arrival of a bay colt by Mint Blue Cap by Hastings the property of S H Vclia of Kansas City
