RENO MEETING COMES TO AN END The spring meeting at Ileno ended Monday last after twenty-one days of racing. The attendance and volume of speculation in the mutuel machines far exceeded the expectations of the management. The racing was uniformly good and wholesome, the stewards dealing severely with all infractions of the rules. The starting of James Haley was one of the outstanding features of the meeting. After a thorough investigation by the stewards in the case of jockey S. Smith, who was recently suspended, he was restored to good standing. Jockey J. Majestic was set down for sixty days by the stewards for repeated rough riding on the last day of the meeting. Jockey W. Mclntyres license was revoked Monday by the State Racing Commission on the rcom-mendatiou of the stewards for rough riding. There will be no fall meetijjg held at Reno this year. The majority of the horses that raced there will go to Vancouver, B. C, where racing begins July 10.
