CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF IJ. 1. Williams and his brother, r. .1. Williams, an: visiting their ranch in Oklahoma. Their horses are at Douglas Park. They will ship their annual crop of yearlings iu from Oklahoma before they return to Kentucky. Six youngster belonging to F. J. Kelley of Chicago, were taken up in the public training stable of Ahern and Doyle at Churchill Downs, but one of them, a colt by Sweep, sustained a broken shoulder a few days ago, which necessitated his destruction. C. C. Van Meter has taken quarters at Douglas Park for the warm months. Coyne, which he trains for Harned IJros. of Louisville, and which went amiss during the recent Churchill Downs meeting, is mending rapidly and will be ready for an autumn campaign.
