; ! i s STALLION MINT IS BURNED TO DEATH LEXINGTON. Ky.. July li. Lightning during a rainstorm today struck a barn of Ed Pritchards in Bourbon County, causing it to be destroyed and in it the thoroughbred stallion Mint, by Rock Sand, property of S. II. Velio of Kansas City, was burned i to death. None of the thoroughbred mares ami i foals were in tin; barn and they were saved. Charles II. Berrymau today stated that he has withdrawn his yearlings by Ballot, from the Saratoga i sales anil will keep ibehi al bis I.iihi. lie said Ik has been offered a good price for lliem, but has not sold them. He may decide to have tbcm i trained.
