GAZINTA, away quickly, set a fast pace and, .showing much speed for the entire race, saved ground on all the turns, but tired and just lasted to win. FEDORA raced in closest pursuit, finished resolutely and was wearing the winner down. DISSOLUTE, on the outside for the first half, ran well, but was in close quarters through the final eighth. JOE JOE, close up from the start, finished fast and was gradually wearing the winner down. OSGOOD closed a big gap and finished fast. ROISTERER ran well. TOM NORRIS quit after setting a good pace to the stretch. The latter set a fast pace, but was tiring right at the end. ST. PAUL saved ground on the turns and closed a big gap. but was in close quartersthrough-out the final sixteenth. The latter showed high speed throughout and set a great pace, but began tiriiig in the final sixteenth. MIDNIGHT SUN was taken to the outside on the. stretch turn anil finished with a rush. MISSED THE TIME ran well. UNCLE AELO finished fast and gaining. . BREEZE saved ground on all the turns and, making a fast finish, was wearing the winner down at the end. KIXBURN : was in a jam while going to the first turn and was forced to pull up. COR-MOKAN took an easy lead at once and set a fast pace, but tired badly through the final quarter. DOCTOR JIM began slowly, but saved ground on the stretch turn and finished fast and close up.
