"HALTERMEN" ON A. B. GORDONS TRAIL SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Aug. 21. Trainer A. B. Gordon, who has charge of the H. C. Fisher stable, in all probability holds the record of recent years for losing horses in claiming and selling races; When Gipsy Lad -was taken from him several days ago Ik; enumerated twenty-nine others that "halteimen" had led from his barn, and he did not go far back, either. "I dont think that I ever racM over any track that I did not lose a horse," said Gordon, "and it is only here lately that I acquired any in felling and claiming races. Nobody seems to bother horses that I train for somebody else, but just let me start one in my own name and have it show a fair performance and it Is not long until it goes to some other stable."
