LADY LUXURY took an easy lead soon after the start and. setting a fast pace under slight restraint, won easing up. JAGO raced in closest pursuit and finished gamely, but tiring. TAN SON ran well and outstayed CORMORAN through the stretch. The latter was speedy, but tired. ASSUMPTION finished with a rush when of no service. POLAR CUB and INA KAY ran poorly. FLYING FROG fenced well and won all the way, but was being shaken up a bit at the end. ALTAR FIRE was under restraint until in the last quarter and made a game finish. GREAT SCOTT jumped too High for the first turn of the field, but settled down in the last mile and finished fast and gaining. STATIM stumbled after landing at the tenth fence and fell heavily. YORKIST slipped through nest to the rail on the turn out of the backstreteh and saved ground when coming into the stretch, but was tiring at the cud after wearing the leaders down in the stretch and taking the lead. WOODBINE closed an immense gap and, bumping her way through in the last eighth, would have won in a few more strides. SALVO finished fast and otttgamed WITCH FLOWER. The latter ran a good lace. IRISH JIG raced gamely and had to be hard ridden to outstay JOHN HOSHOR. The latter began from an outside position and outran the others for a half, then tired badly. KENTISH BOY was always beaten. KING JOHN ran well, but was driving hard at the end to outstay BRILLIANT JESTER. Die latter closed a gap and. was going fastest at the end. OUR BIRTHDAY set a good pace and was eased up when he quit. KASHMIR : bolted to the side fence at the head of the stretch and lost his rider.
