! , ; i i TODAYS BIG JUVENILE RACE Dozen High Class Two-Year-Olds Named to Start in Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes. LOUISVILLE, Ky., October 14. Great interest is being displayed in the outcome of the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, the 0,000 added two-year-old feature of the Churchill Downs autumn meeting to be run tomorrow. An even dozen young horses of good quality are named to compete for this rich prize. Harry Payne Whitney will be represented by Bocket and Cherry Tree, Montfort Jones will depend on Rockminister, while W. M. Wallace will give Kentuckians an opportunity of seeing his unbeaten colt Horologe in action. F. J. Kelley has named Janku, G. A. Cochran June Grass, while the Dick Finnell colt John Finn will carry the colors of G. F. Baker. The 6peedy filly Startle is the hope of H. H. Hewitt and two other fillies in College Girl and Red Leaf are counted on by their owners, T. C. McDowell and B. J. Brannon respectively, to figure importantly in the running of this valuable fixture. While the real topnotcheis of the Juvenile division of the year are absent the field, nevertheless, is an excellent one and should furnish a bit of glorious racing. General manager Matt J. Winn of the Kentucky Jockey Club is sanguine that a crowd of record proportions will gather at Churchill Downs tomorrow to sec this race and the remainder of a particularly attractive program. Churchill Downs never looked more beautiful than it docs now and the track itself is at its best.
