Won easily; second and third driv-ing. MAKE UP was close up from the start and, responding gamely when called on in the stretch, outstayed BE GOOD. The latter ran well and finished gamely through the last eighth. ABADANE was far back in the early running, but came fast through the stretch. WHITE STAR had no mishaps. ARARAT set a fast pace and tired badly in the last eighth. HONOR MAN ran a poor race and quit in the last quarter. STUMP JR. ran well and had 110 mishaps. CUKAMO finished fast. LUCKY RUN tired after racing into the lead. BILLY GATES raced forwardly for three-quarters. DINAH DEAN was always far back. MANICURE gained fast after going a half mile and finished with a rush. PUMPS closed a gap and tired in the last sixteenth. OO LA LA ran well and probably would have been dangerous with a good ride. BROTHER JOHN ran out most of the way. OGARITE was always far back. BRIGHT TRASH and DAD quit. MATINEE IDOL closed a gap and finished well. FLYING PRINCE tired. TULANE quit in the last quarter after setting the pace for a good mile.
