CLEVER SETH PROVES BEST Scores Decisive Victory in Best Race of Brooklyn Parks Friday Card — Another for She Devil. CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 12.— Good and Eckerts recently acquired Clever Seth scored a decisive victory over some good sprinters in the fifth race, which attracted the best field at Brooklyn Park this afternoon. He took command after eolng half the distance and drew away with little effort in the stretch. Trafalgar and Lalton divided the remainder of the purse. The latter came from far back in the last quarter. Spontaneous and Chopsticks were prominent in the early stages but both tired badly in the last quarter. Ladies Day, coupled with ideal racing conditions was responsible for much the largest attendance of the week. It was only after a keen stretch struggle that Nervous Abie got up in the last few strides to head Captain Guard the pacemaker in the initial race. Little Betty closed much ground after a slow beginning to annex the second. She was fortunate in finding an opening on the inside of Merry O. entering the stretch ad beat the latter home rather handily. Skoki followed the pace of Virge for the first half mile in the third race, then took command and drew away decisively. Princess Signal and Biddledee followed the pace of Bernice Childs to the stretch in the fourth. When straightened out Princess Signal outstayed Biddledee because jockey We3t. on the latter, was no help to his mount and Farlane, on the winner, outrode him. She Devil scored her second success at this meeting when she led her field by a comfortable margin at all stages of the sixth race. Walespa and Mike Morrissey raced in closest pursuit of the winner practically throughout and Mike Morrissey had the most in reserve for the final test.
