BOSTONIAN ON THE MEND NEW YORK N Y May 23 James Rowe Jr reported that Bostonian the Harry Payne Whitney winner of the Preakness Stakes had recovered from his recent sick ¬ ness but that it necessarily gave him a set ¬ back that will keep him away from the races for some time Bostonian contracted a high fever on his trip from Louisville to Belmont Park but there was no coughing with that affliction and now that the fever has abated there is no further alarm Valorous was withdrawn from the Hyde Park Handicap for the reason that it seemed to be rather a severe test under the weight and at the mile and a sixteenth distance He has been carefully pointed for the Withers Stakes to be run Wednesday and barring accident will be a sure starter
