VIOLADO set a fast pace from tie start and easily won all the way. REA raced close up and made a game challenge at the eighth post, but swerved in behind the winner and was outfinished. WINOYA jumped well and. racing close up from the start, took the lead at the ninth jump, then withstood a challenge from HIGH COURT and drew away into an easy lead after taking the twelfth jump. KANGAROO, saved for the first turn of the field, came gamely near the end and outfinished HIGH COURT, but could not trouble the winner. HIGH COURT passed SPLASH ME into the lead, but tired badly in the last half mile. HENRY DATTNER could never reach the leaders. TRESS GANG jumped well. SPLASH ME tired and was not persevered with. REAL AKTIST raced in nearest pursuit of WUACKEES and when forced to a drive wore the latter down gradually and won drawing clear. WRACKEEN showed a good order of speed while setting the pace and tared ground where possible, but tired in the final drive. TROJ1S raced wide on the first turn, but made up ground on the outside and finished fast. N1KI was away slowly, but closed a big gap and raced well. DIXIE SMITH tired badly in the last quarter.
