Won easily : second and third driving. ; DURANGO, forced to lose ground in the first quarter but never far back, gradually wore down MINTON linder mild pressure and drew out fast in the final seventy yards. MINTON showed speed from the start, saved ground after three-sixteenths and tired badly near the end, but outstayed DELVEN. The latter, far back in the first half mile, moved up with a rush on the stretch turn and held on well. PRINCESS DOROTHY raced wide and closed gamely. LAVENDER LADY saved much ground. CHILLY GAL quit. NIGHT VINTAGE, under vigorous urging from the start, could not get up to the leaders and quit in the stretch. MAJOR LANPHIER, away slowly when Allen was caught napping, was always outrun under a weak ride. BELL OSCOTLAND quit. PERNOEL shewed earlv speed. SUNS SON, away fast and escaping the early crowding, readily disposed of COLD CHECK after reaching the stretch turn and, drawing clear, maintained good speed and won in hand. PREFER, well up from the Start, closed with good courage. PRINCE FARTHING suffered interference shortly after the start, raced ■very wide on the turn and swerved badly in the stretch. FLYING moved up with a rush on the stretch turn and, blocked by COLD CHECK in the stretch, could not set up. COLD CHECK, hustled along from the Start, tired badly after showing speed to the stretch. JOEY BIBB began fast, but soon dropped out of it, saved ground while working his way up on the stretch turn and. closing fast, wore down the leaders to win drawing clear. ROYAL RUFFIN showed speed, saved ground and held on gamely, but was not good enough. BLACK BELT improved her position rapidly on the outside on the far turn, bore out entering the stretch and, racing wide thereafter, challenged, then tired. TRED AVON quit. KNIGHTS CALL, away slowly and slightly bothered by BONFIELD in the early stages, closed ground with a rush after reaching the stretch, but tired in the closing sixteenth and the effort may benefit him. The latter, forwardly placed but forced to lose ground, closed gamely and was wearing down the winner. THE DUKE began slowly, but improved his position entering the back stretch and closed gamely. TACK, rushed along in the early lead, tired after seven eighths. SAM GILMORE quit. OUR BILLY had early speed. UPSWEEP straddled one of the walls of the stalls while at the post, raced well for the first half mile and failed to respond when hard urged.
