The latter was close up all the way and had no excuses. PRINCE MEXICAN closed strongly on the outside of the others in the last quarter. SKY HIGH raced evenly. RADIO SERVICE finished with a belated rush. RED GRANGE and PRINCESS EVOL quit badlv alter showing earlv speed. GREAT ARTIST showed keen speed throughout, withstood a bold challenge from THE PADRE on the stretch turn and held the others safe in the last eighth. TYROL, close up all the way, finished gamely on the outside and outgamed THE PADRE. The latter had no mishaps and finished tiring. SHIFT saved ground in the stretch, finished well, but failed to obtain racing room in the last eighth. WEGA tired after displaying early speed. The others were alwavs outpaced. TIEMPO moved up on the outside of the leaders on the far turn, showed eood speed, but tired in the final drive. KERNEWOD raced evenly. WHISK O DAY came fast in the stretch. PRETTI SING was taken up shortly after the start. GOLDEN INFINITE was in close quarters in the stretch. MISS SUE tired in the final drive, as did THISTLE DEE and BRAINS. DR. LOUIS HAMMAN quit on reaching the stretch. SKIBO tired. HIGHLAND FLING acted very badlv at tho post and showed scant speed. SPURRIER moved up fast on the outside on the far turn and took command, but failed to withstand the winners challenge. JACK BERRY worked his way up on the outside in the last half mile, finishing resolutely. DAN BURNHAM closed ground, as did FAIR DAWN and FRANK HAWLEY. The others tired.
