CHENE, away slowly, saved much ground on the lower turn, withstood urging gamely and finished in close quarters. ELCIDIO closed a big gap in the final quarter. BALDERDASH had no mishaps. PRETTY PENNY tired under punishment. MAI SAN was badlv outrun. STAR BROOK, rated close up, was much used wearing down PANGLOSS, yet held on well. VONAIR, slow to start and far back for three quarters, closed fast. PANGLOSS showed speed. SCARLET BRIGADE quit. ARROWLIKE tired.
