GUARD FOR JOCKEY COUCCI NEW YORK, N. Y., May 9.— Sylvio CouccI, one of Americas leading riders, was under a heavy police guard here this afternoon following receipt of a kidnaping note received here last night by a New York newspaper and transmitted to Nassau County police headquarters. Sergt. Christopher Wyer of the Nassau County police was detailed last night to protect Coucci at the home of William Brennan, trainer of the Greentree Stable, at Belmont Park. The Nassau County policeman accompanied Coucci to the track this afternoon and stood guard in the jockey quarters and paddock during the running of this afternoons program. The Pinkertons, under Capt. Clovis Duhaine, watched the jockey quarters and grounds carefully throughout the afternoon and were aided by members of the Jamaica city police force.
