1 EARL SANDE AT ARLINGTON Earl Sande, formerly Americas premier jockey, with many important victories to his credit, including the Arlington Classic with Gallant Fox, plans to bring the eight horses he is training for Col. Maxwell Howard of Dayton, Ohio, to Arlington Park for the thirty-day meeting starting June 26. His application for stabling accommodations has been received. The Idaho horseman, feeling that he still has the knack of "booting those winners home," intends to ride any of his employers horses upon which he can make the weight. Among the prominent members of the stable are Resurrection, St. Stephens, St. Hubert and Orphean. Another prominent owner who plans to participate in Arlington Park racing this summer is C. Le Roy King of Memphis, who has a number of good horses, including the speedy Mr. Sponge and Pari-Mutuel, a proved distance runner. Both of these horses starred in Florida this past winter. George Phillips is Mr. Kings trainer.
