The" latter forced a steady early pace, raced NADA into defeat and hung on resolutely. NADA, hard urged for half a mile, tired fast in the stretch. KIEVEX raced evenly. CONVENTION was held safe. PERTOXICAL, a factor from the start, raced SABANA into defeat, but could not withstand the winner. SABANA, steadied in front and saving ground, tired in the stretch. FREETHINKER closed gamely. TROUBANOVA, taking a forward position early and racing closest to ROCK CREST, wore down the latter in the stretch and, well ridden, outlasted MRS. FOSTER. The latter, restrained early, moved up fast entering the stretch, was badly impeded when trying to come through at the eighth post, but recovered and finished as if best. ROCK CREST held on gamely. PHIL R. moved up fast, but met interference in the stretch. HURAWAY had no mishaps. ON LEAVE closed a big gap. DARK ALTOS went to his knees at the start.
