1 HAMILTON, ONT., NOTES s Condition books for the five-day meeting to be staged by the Southern Maryland Racing Association at Marlboro, Md.f were distributed among the horsemen racing at Hamilton by J. P. Turner, who will act as racing secretary. Several shipments from Canada will leave for the Maryland course when convenient. Word was received that the Marshall Cas-sidy stationary stall gate is being erected at the six furlongs chute at Fort Erie. Completion is being rushed so that horses may be schooled from the chute before the meeting opens. Joseph E. Martin, secretary of the Niagara Jockey Club, was an interested spectator Friday at Hamilton. Mr. Martin accompanied president J. H. Madigin, who was scheduled to sit in at the meeting of the Independent Canadian Racing Association. The schooling list at Hamilton is comprised of Heart Break, Wrigley Field, Air King, Muskadeen, Proteus, Gaffing, Canter-wood and Bald Crest. Officials of the Hamilton Jockey Club have notified horsemen that on Monday civic holiday scratch time has been set for 8 a. m. This is done so that programs for the day may be prepared in time to be sold to the early arrivals. Jockeys scheduled to ride will also have to be named at the same hour. J. A. Johnson claimed Maeantic out of the third race at Hamilton Friday from R. S. McLaughlin for his entered price of ,000.
