NOTED ENGLISH JOCKEY DEAD LONDON, England, April 16 William Speck, one of Englands foremost steeplechase jockeys, died Tuesday of a spine fracture which he suffered when his mount fell at Cheltenham races April 10. Speck rode many winners in the fifteen years of his career in steeplechasing. He finished third in the last two Grand Nationals, riding Thomond II.
