TRIPLE FOR B. HERNANDEZ Three of His Horses Score at Thistle Down — Jockey L. Turner Rides the Trio of Winners. CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 22.— B. Hernandez had a field day at Thistle Down Park this afternoon. When Woodlander raced over the leaders through the stretch to capture the Claudette Colbert Handicap, featured attraction, it marked the third success for the stable and jockey L. Turner was the winning pilot in all three events. Sweep Like and Captain Joy divided the minor portions of the purse. Moratorium and Gold Thorn were most prominent to the turn for home, where Woodlander raced from third position into the lead and was never threatened thereafter, winning with much to spare. Sweep Like was never far away and, despite being forced wide at the stretch turn, raced into second place easily. It was only in the last few yards that Captain Joy overhauled Moratorium. The races were contested over a heavy track, but otherwise the attending conditions were favorable, and much the largest crowd of the meeting to date witnessed the sport. The clubhouse and lawn was particularly well patronized. Close and exciting finishes were much in evidence.
