WASHINGTON PARK NOTES 1 $ In addition to Claude Hooper, one of the best of the older riders, the Blua Bonnet Stable has a promising younger performer in Edward Tucker, Los Angeles boy, who has been with trainer J. F. Vaughn for several years. Tucker rode a few races at Detroit but has never been up on a winner. Trainer R. E. Heffernan was fined S25 for not having Very Well in the paddock for the seventh race Friday. J. J. Holtman appeared on the program as trainer of the J. J. Coughlin filly, but the stewards action wa3 directed agains Heffernan, chief of the Coughlin training staff. A. A. Baronis Top Row, probable favorite for the Washington Park Championship Handicap, to be run for the first time at the local course Saturday, closing day of the meeting, breezed a mile and a furlong over a heavy track Saturday morning in 2:05%. The championship will be decided over a mile and one-quarter.
