WASHINGTON PARK OFFICIALS Roy Dickerson to Act as Starter at Homewood Track Few Changes in Personnel at South Side SideCourse Course McLennan Racing Secretary Secretaryand and Steward Roy Dickerson of the veteran starters In that specialized profession will again serve at Washington Park when the south side track opens its thirtyday American Derby race meeting on May 24 President Walter L Gregory of the Washington Park Jockey Club in making public the list of officials revealed today that few changes had been made in the personnel of the track trackWith With Dickerson again starting the fields and with racing secretary Charles J Mc ¬ Lennan drawing up the daily programs for the 350000 meeting Chicago fans are as ¬ sured of the best sport to be found any ¬ where with the opening of the major season here hereServing Serving in the stewards stand with Chris ¬ topher J FitzGerald who will represent the Illinois Racing Commission will be Mc ¬ Lennan and a third steward to be named later Placing judges will be Sidney S Brown Charles F Henry and C J Fitz ¬ Gerald Jr Young FitzGerald will also serve as clerk of scales as he did a year ago agoDOYLE DOYLE PADDOCK JUDGE JUDGEWillie Willie Doyle has been named paddock judge and will double as a patrol judge with Willie Davis and George Swain Mort Shaw will have charge of the totalisator depart ¬ ment with Oscar Bachman supervisor of mutuels for the state Dr George B McKil lip has been named track veterinary by the state stateCondition Condition books for the first ten days of the meeting have been distribufed by Mr McLennan and he has been assured by trainers of almost every leading stable that they will be on hand for the five weeks of racing All stalls have been alloted at the track and Lincoln Fields will be used for the late comers of the 1200 horses which will be at hand handFinal Final payments for thefirst runnings of the Futurity and the Princess Pat Stakes are due tonight and entries for the five other stakes close at midnight Monday Con ¬ sequently the Washington Park offices are experiencing their busiest weekend com ¬ piling the long lists of thoroughbreds which hope to share the biggest prizes
