XALAPA CLOWN TO BE FIRED LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 6.— Xalapa Clown, the good three-year-old, owned by Mrs. Bessie Franzheim, is to be fired for unsoundness in his near foreleg and turned out, his trainer, A. C. Dettwiler, said here this morning. The speedy son of Eternal and Loma Linda, one of the stars of last years juvenile division, has been suffering from this ailment for some time, and neither Dettwiler nor Mrs. Franzheim wishes to take any further chance with him before he submits to the firing treatment. Dettwiler said Xalapa Clown probably would not return to competition until late in the summer.
