TRANS-ATLANTIC MAIL ROUTE • WASHINGTON, D. C, May 6.— Postmaster General Farley announced yesterday that the initial mail-carrying flight across the Atlantic Ocean by Pan-American Airways would probably take place over the southern route. The plane would fly from New York to Marseille, France, by way of the Azores and Portugal.
