| 1 1 1 J j * ] ! i , , Ocean Wave Fired for Splint; Out From Four to Six Weeks HOMEWOOD, 111., June 23.— Ocean Wave, who popped a splint on the inside of his left foreleg, yesterday was fired for . that ailment by Dr. E. W. Thomas, Lexington, Ky., veterinarian. Ben Jones. trainer of the Calumet colt, reiterated that it will take from four to five weeks for the colts trouble to clear sufficiently for him to resume training and he thus will be deprived of the opportunity to fill his engagement in the 0,000 Arlington. Classic. Dr. Thomas also fired a number of other horses at Washington Park. He applied this treatment to Black Shot and Real Short, owned by J. D. Weil, and Son of Liberty and Polly Liberty, the property of J. L. Sullivan.
